OTS Announces Industry-wide Conference Call on Anti-Money Laundering Compliance: “BSA/AML – Getting it Right”
WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) announced today that it plans to host a 90-minute conference call on Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) compliance issues on July 31, from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM EDT.
The telephone conference call will provide an informative briefing by senior OTS staff on BSA/AML compliance issues, including best practices, avoiding common violations and the consequences of noncompliance.
The conference call represents a valuable opportunity for compliance officers, risk managers, auditors, attorneys and senior bank and thrift managers to interact directly with OTS experts. At least 40 minutes of the call will be set aside for a Question and Answer session that will allow participants the opportunity to receive answers to specific questions directly from senior OTS staff and BSA/AML specialists. All questions submitted prior to or during the conference call to OTSthrift.questions@ots.treas.gov will receive a timely response.
Advance registration is required. Reservations are complimentary and will be accepted up until the day of the conference call. Interested parties may make a reservation by going to www.mymeetings.com and choosing “Web RSVP” under “Join Events.” The conference number is 9324674, and the passcode is “BSA.” Each registered site will receive one phone connection where an unlimited number of listeners can participate.
PowerPoint presentation materials relating to the briefing will be available on the OTS website at www.ots.treas.gov under “Upcoming Events” prior to the conference call. If you have any questions regarding the conference call, you may refer to the OTS website at the above link or send an e-mail to OTSthrift.questions@ots.treas.gov
