California High School Exit Exam Results
CAlifornia State Superintendent of Public Instruction Jack O'Connell today released the results of the 2005-06 California High School Exit Examination (CAHSEE). Results from the exam, which was administered to last year’s sophomores, juniors, and seniors, show steady improvement in the number of students in the classes of 2007 and 2008 who have met the CAHSEE requirement. Since the class of 2007 initially took the CAHSEE as tenth graders in 2004-05, an estimated 89 percent have passed the English-language arts (ELA) portion of the CAHSEE, while an estimated 88 percent have passed the mathematics portion of the exam.
