Ambulance Strike Team Provider - Distance Learning Online Course
This course is offered to meet the requirements for the California EMSA Ambulance Strike
Team Provider (ASTP) position. The course also contains all of the educational prerequisites
for the Ambulance Strike Team Leader (EMS 316) course. Students will participate in an 8
week, 16-hour, self-paced online class designed to prepare them for response as a team
member (provider) on an ambulance strike team or medical task force. The ASTP course is
approved for 16 hours of continuing education credits for EMT-1B and EMT-P and one AHC
college unit.

Students must enroll at Allan Hancock College and register for this course, either in person at
AHC, or use the online admissions and registration system by clicking on the link below. Note:
When registering for AHC courses, the Health and Student Rep. fees are only required once
per semester, not for each course.
