A Parent's Guide to Raising Drug-Free Children is available from the Prevention First Clearinghouse at 800-252-8951 ext. 222, or visiting http://www.berealteens.com/ . Teachers and school administrators can also order the Be Real Drug-Prevention Planning Guide, which contains lesson plans and activities meeting Illinois State Learning Standards that allow them to incorporate prevention messages into regular curriculum.

Be Real is an award-winning drug-prevention campaign aimed at 10- to 14-year-olds in Illinois. The campaign is managed by Prevention First, a non-profit training and resource organization specializing in prevention of substance abuse and other related issues, and spotlights real Illinois teens showing what they do to stay drug free. It demonstrates how a healthy lifestyle gives them the energy and enthusiasm to be real to themselves, their families, and their friends. Be Real is designed to supplement and support other drug-prevention efforts in schools, homes, and communities.
