For most of us, this holiday still means a home-cooked Thanksgiving dinner. However, throughout the year Americans are spending a greater percentage of their food dollars on food away from home — that is, at restaurants instead of at the grocery store. The portion of the family-of-four food budget spent on food away from home increased from 36 to 43 percent from 1984 to 2006.

Fibromyalgia Awareness Day - May 12, 2006
Fibromyalgia (pronounced Fy-bro-my-AL-ja) is a complex chronic pain illness that is recognized by the American Medical Association, the National Institutes of Health and the American College of Rheumatology. FM experts estimate that about 10 million Americans and approximately 5% of the population worldwide suffer with FM. While it is most common in women, the illness strikes men, women and children of all ages and ethnic backgrounds. For those with severe symptoms, FM can be extremely debilitating and interfere with even routine daily activities.
