We have posted, at the web address below, a draft of the Student Loan Notice of Proposed Rulemaking. This is the draft that was transmitted to the Federal Register for official publication. Once at the web site, look for the box titled “What’s New” and go to the second item about the Title IV Student Loan Programs.

The official version of this document is published in the Federal Register.  However, a publication date has not yet been scheduled.  Once published in the Federal Register, interested parties will have 45 days to submit comments on the proposed regulations.  The draft can be accessed at: http://www.ed.gov/policy/highered/reg/hearulemaking/2008/index2008.html
