Public Sector HIV/AIDS Workplace Program
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) is seeking applications from eligible and qualified U.S and Non-U.S organizations and institutions interested in implementing a program to support the Ugandan public sector expand HIV/AIDS services at the workplaces.
The authority for the RFA is found in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended.
For the purposes of this RFA, the term “Grant” is synonymous with “Cooperative Agreement”; “Grantee” is synonymous with “Recipient”; and “Grant Officer” is synonymous with “Agreement Officer”.
This is full and open competition, under which any type of organizations, large or small commercial (for profit) firms, faith-based, and non-profit organizations in partnerships or consortia, from geographic code 935, are eligible to compete. In accordance with the Federal Grants and Cooperative Agreement Act, USAID encourages competition in order to identify and fund the best possible applications to achieve program objectives in the program description.
USAID strongly discourages local Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) from exclusive relationships with prime applicants in the application process, i.e., small NGOs may pair with one or more prime partners if they wish, and appear in several applications
