The Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention developed the kit, which contains 11 components.  Some examples are: 

  • Welcome to Girl Power!:  This booklet provides an overview of the Girl Power! program and includes information on the issues and challenges facing 9- to 14-year-old girls today. 
  • Girl Power!  Speaker's Guide:  This booklet provides speakers with easy-to-use talking points. Parents, teachers, program coordinators, and other Girl Power! advocates may be invited to give presentations about Girl Power!
  • How to Access and Activate Girl Power! in Your Community:  This booklet helps youth-serving organizations, businesses, schools, and other community groups to determine how they can develop Girl Power! programs to nurture and support girls.
