Hilton Reservations Worldwide LLC, doing business as Hilton Reservations and Customer Care in Carrollton, has agreed to pay $715,507 in minimum and overtime back wages to 2,645 current and former customer service employees following an investigation by the U.S. Department of Labor's Wage and Hour Division that found violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Mitsubishi Recalls Certain Model Trucks for Model Years 2001-2006 for Engine and Engine Cooling Defects

  On certain Mitsubishi trucks, the cylinder head idler gear bushing may have been improperly machined, causing excessive stress on the cylinder head idler gear shaft. Continued operating in this condition could cause the idler gear shaft flance to break and generate abnormal engine noise or engine oil leaks. Ford is recalling 422 MY 2007 Crown Victoria and Mercury Grand Marquis vehicles for failing conform to the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 212, Windshield Mounting. The windshield may not be properly secured to the vehicle body. If the windshield not properly held onto the vehicle, wind noise, squeak/rattles and/or water leaks may occur. Also, loss of windshield retention may reduce occupant protection in the event of a crash. Dealers will replace the windshield. The recall was expected to begin on November 22, 2006. 06V-440

On certain sport utility and hybrid vehicles, the two retaining clips for the driver's side forward center console can become loose. If both clips separate from the floor carpet cover, the cover may lean toward the accelerator pedal, causing interference with the accelerator pedal rod.

On certain vehicles, due to improper assembly of the air bag inflator, which is used in the side air bag, the curtain shield air bag, and the knee air bag assembly, some inflators were produced with an insufficient amount of the heating agents necessary for proper air bag deployment. In this condition, the expansion force of the gas may be insufficient to properly inflate the air bag when the srs system is activated during a crash.
