Federal Government Announces Stimulus Tax Payments for 2008

Internal Revenue Service, U.S. Department of the Treasury

The U.S. Federal Government has announced economic stimulus payments for 2008. Even if you are not otherwise required to file a U.S. Income Tax Return, you may still be entitled to an economic stimulus payment from the U.S. Federal Government.

If you received disability compensation, pension or survivor’s benefits from the Department of Veteran’s Affairs last year ( click here ).

If you received U.S. Social Security benefits ( click here ).

If you are resident in the Freely Associated States and have questions or need further assistance, please contact the U.S. Embassy in Majuro (692) 247-4011, Pohnpei (691) 320-2187 or Palau (680) 488-2920/2990. For assistance in the U.S. Territories, please contact your local IRS office.
