Free Companion Offer for Campus Visits

  • Take a parent for free on a campus visit trip.

Amtrak is pleased to offer the Campus Visit Discount. This discount allows high school juniors and seniors visiting a college campus to take one parent or guardian along as a free companion.

Amtrak is making this great discount offer in conjunction with our partner, Collegia. Just click on the 'Apply Now' link at the right to go to Collegia's Campus Visit page. There, complete a brief form and you'll be given an Amtrak Promotion Code. Then, return to Amtrak.com to continue booking.

Terms & Conditions

This offer is valid for sale December 30, 2005 - December 8, 2006, and for travel January 6, 2006 - December 15, 2006.

Reservations are required at least seven days prior to travel. Travel is not permitted on Acela Express, Metroliners, Auto Train, the Canadian portion of joint Amtrak/VIA rail trains or 7000-8999 series Thruway services. Seats are limited and subject to availabiltiy.

Blackout dates, during which you may not travel using this discount are as follows:

  • January 13-16, 2006
  • February 17-20, 2006
  • April 13-17, 2006
  • May 26-29, 2006
  • September 1-4, 2006
  • October 6-9, 2006
  • November 9-12, 2006
  • November 21-28, 2006
